1983 Mao ta Skye 51

  • Condition Condition: Used
  • Boat LengthLength: 50.83'

220000 CAD

DESCRIPTION

The Skye 51 is a sought-after ocean cruiser from the golden era of Taiwanese production — a Kaufman & Ladd design that has earned a strong following among serious offshore sailors. The centre cockpit, encapsulated lead keel and skeg-hung rudder give confidence for extended bluewater passages, while the ketch rig offers exceptional versatility and ease of handling for a shorthanded crew. It is no surprise the design has been described as an ideal choice for tradewind circumnavigators.

Blue Zulu is a premium example. She received an extensive refit in 2016 with new engine, teak decks and standing rigging and was refreshed again in New Zealand with new electronics, batteries, solar and more. She is genuinely ready for offshore life: well-equipped, well-maintained, and well-documented with a full maintenance log.

For off-grid passages, the package is hard to beat. 600W of solar with Victron MPPT controllers and a 1560Ah battery bank keep the watermaker, refrigeration and electronics running with ease. A Hydrovane windvane serves as a fully independent backup to the Raymarine autopilot. Starlink is already fitted for global connectivity underway.

449000 USD

DESCRIPTION

Waterline Yachts was started in 1982 in British Columbia, Canada. Renowned their construction and the time taken to make sure the hulls wouldn’t rust. Not only do they look good, they are known for sailing, handling and their offshore capabilities.

In October 2025 Argonauts had Ultrasound hull gauging which showed no wastage of the hull plating.

Most people who see them think they are fiberglass. When told they are steel, they have to go back aboard and see the engine room to believe they aren’t fiberglass.

Waterline Yachts have sailed around the world and Argonauts is set up to do this. She has undertaken a thorough systems review and has had the rig out and redone with safety in mind.

Argonauts is fully equipped for offshore or inshore sailing. She is turn key. With her hydraulic system you will find her easy to handle and with her beautiful pilothouse weather won’t be an issue.

Current owners have done a season offshore to make sure she is ready to go. Due to their commitments elsewhere Argonauts is now for sale. SV Argonauts will have finished the trip to the Sea of Cortez (to Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico), cruising past 4 months there. She would complete a journey over 5,500nms track when she gets back to BC by the end of this mont

This is an impressive yacht ready to take you where you want to go for a fraction of what a new one would cost.

DESCRIPTION

She's sailed to the far side of the world and back. Now she's looking for her next crew.

X-Wing is a 1974 Islander 34 that spent the last decade doing what most boats only dream about - crossing the Pacific twice, circumnavigating Australia, and completing a one-of-a-kind voyage to her owner's birth antipode (the exact opposite point on Earth). That expedition, the FarOtherSide project, made her one of the most well-documented small sailboats on the internet, with hundreds of videos on Instagram and TikTok (@farotherside).

She's not a marina queen. She's a proven bluewater cruiser in a compact, manageable package - and she's been maintained like one. The current owner has kept a meticulous engine log from hour zero, replaced nearly every system that matters, and upgraded her for serious offshore work. She's now back in BC, in good condition, and ready to go.

The owner has his eye on a bigger boat and bigger plans. X-Wing needs to be passed along to someone who'll use her.

Assumable moorage at a desirable Sidney, BC marina.

280000 USD

DESCRIPTION

US REGISTERED, NO TARIFFS OR IMPORT DUTIES FOR US BUYERS

This one owner Bavaria Vision 42 is lightly used and in excellent condition.

“Come Abroad” features the popular 2 cabins, 1 head layout, with the upgraded Teak interior and Ocean Line flooring. The large owner's cabin forward features an island queen bed allowing easy access from both sides. The saloon is very bright due to an abundance of natural light flooding in through large, tempered glass skylights and opening hatches. The head compartment is huge, featuring a separate shower stall. Aft of the shower, through a full-size door, there is a walk-in storage area with access from the cockpit. The 2nd cabin can be set up as two single beds or as a king size bed.

The Bavaria 42 Vision has an extraordinary cockpit layout because of the off-set companionway to starboard. This allows for an easy walk through access from the swim platform to the saloon even when the cockpit table is set with guests eating dinner on the port side or lowered into a sun bed.

The Vision series sails exceptionally well and is easily sailed short-handed due to the German mainsheet system with both mainsheet and genoa sheets running to winches, strategically mounted adjacent to each helm. This set up allows the rest of your family to simply relax and not be disturbed when altering course and trimming sails.

Key features include Volvo 40hp with 834 hours, bow thruster, In-mast furling mainsail, Dodger, Bimini, connector,  Webasto diesel heat, B&G navigation.

If you are looking for a nearly new, leading brand sailboat, look no further than this top quality, German engineered Bavaria Vision 42
