DESCRIPTION

If offshore sailing is in your veins, specifically high latitude expeditions, then this Garcia Exploration 45 should be seriously considered as this vessel has sailed through the North West Passage and spent two months in Antarctica. True, tried and tested in every way.

“Balthazar” was formally called “Aventura IV” which was Jimmy Cornell’s personal sailboat that he completed the Northwest Passage in. It was designed by him in collaboration with Olivier Racoupeau and Garcia Yachting.

The current owner purchased her in 2018 and completed a major refit in 2022 before sailing Balthazar to Antarctica and on to the South Pacific. She then sailed north to the Pacific North West and cruised our beautiful BC coastline this summer. The boat is now on the hard locally in Sidney BC, undergoing further inspections and refit to ensure she is ready for a second trip through the North West Passage or to sail elsewhere with her new owners.

Every inch of this vessel was thoughtfully designed for long expeditions in high latitudes and cold climates. But the current owner went one step further and modified the boat again increasing storage and reducing the number of berths from 10 to 6. This incredible vessel is in excellent condition and will be in even better condition and ready to go for her next owner to take her around the world in any direction

Additional photos will be available soon
