Owner's Comments

Comments from the Owner:

Vintage Port; Classic Wood Motor Yacht-Ed Monk Sr Design, for Sale:

Proposals are invited from sophisticated mariners who wish to enjoy the pleasure and live the ongoing journey of Vintage Port.

Legacy:

Vintage Port has a legacy of 70 years of cruising the protected inside coastal waters of Canada’s Pacific Northwest, from the Gulf Islands, to Desolation Sound and beyond.  Launched in 1954 at Matsumoto Shipyard in Dollarton, North Vancouver, BC (the current site of major shipbuilder Allied Shipbuilders ), Vintage Port in its journey to date has experienced 9 owners, and 7 name titles.

Vintage Port is currently moored in its boathouse at Noth Saanich Marina, Sidney, BC,  the gateway to the majestic cruising vistas of the Gulf Islands.

The boathouse is available to a serious bidder for Vintage Port, under separate tender/proposal.

Vintage Port is under Federal Canada Registry, Victoria BC, and has the sole right to the title "Vintage Port” for a vessel in Canada.  This title was “borrowed" from  vintner Taylor Fladgate Croft during a delightful visit and celebration of the vintners renowned produce, in the highlands of the Douro River Valley, Portugal.
