1980 Hans Christian 38T
The Hans Christian 38T is a heavy displacement, double ended, cutter rig, designed specifically for blue water cruising but makes for a fantastic liveaboard vessel as well. She is a solidly built sailboat with a clipper bow and a long bowsprit, giving her a distinctive appearance. The interior is beautifully hand crafted in all wood joinery.
“Betelgeuse” is in excellent condition and boasts a brand new 2022 Isuzu 4LE1T 70hp Turbo charged engine with only 11 hours on it including a new propshaft and dripless seal. A brand-new Bow sprit was custom built out of old growth Douglas Fir, free of heart.
A few upgrades to highlight are: decks and all exterior wood, sanded and refinished with new plexi in the butterfly hatch and forward hatch, new 8gal hot water tank, LED lighting, new electric quiet flush large bowl toilet and holding tank (never used), all new upholstery, newer Magnum 2000w inverter, new batteries, Sigmar diesel heater has new fuel lines and filter, pump and overflow
