1983 Baltic 38DP

Price: 124900 USD

Kestrel VI is a very well maintained 1983 Baltic 38 DP. The 38DP has a reputation as being one of the great Baltic builds as Doug Peterson was in his prime when he designed her. Boats of this era are great upwind and make for fast offshore sailors or just sailing anywhere. A well-maintained Baltic is worth the money when compared to ones that aren’t. Kestrel VI has a full winter cover for the off season and she has an African queen sun cover for the summer months.

The original teak decks were replaced in 2012 with glued teak decks so there are no fasteners to worry about. The sails were updated in 2017 as well as electronics. If you haven’t sailed this vintage of boat upwind in a chop and pressure you have missed one of life’s great joys. These boats are so well balanced they are a thrill to drive. If you are looking for a high quality, well maintained, capable sailing yacht under 40’ this is a must see.
