CONSTRUCTION
Steel Origami constructed hull, deck and keel. Modified fin keel ½” mild steel plate on the shoe with ¼” plate on the sides. Hull is 10 Gauge mild steel reinforced every 18” by 1”x1”x1/4” angle iron stitch welded on 6” spacing. Decks are 1/8” mild steel plate with 1”x 3/8” reinforcement on 12” centers. Cabin sides, pilot house sides and cabin tops are all 1/8” mild steel plate with 1”x 3/8” deck beams welded on 12” centers.
Rudder is steel transom hung with a skeg, stainless steel pintles on stainless steel gudgeons. Mid ships, forward hatch and companionway door are marine grade welded aluminum.
Stern and bow pulpits and lifelines are 1” schedule 40 316 stainless steel pipe. Handrails and all exterior fittings are 316 stainless steel with exception of the removable cockpit seats which are wood. Ports and pilot house windows are 1/2” thick plexiglass bedded with 3M UV caulking.

A complete paint job was done in October 2018 using Imron on hull, decks, and house. The last haul out was completed January 2022 when the hull was sandblasted below the waterline and 4 coats of epoxy primer and 3 coats of bottom paint were applied.
INTERIOR
Lovely interior with varnished Arbutus hardwood and red cedar. Cabin sole is old growth Douglas Fir. A very high level of finish by a professional carpenter.
The main accommodation is in the forward in the v berth with extensive storage for a vessel of this size.
The saloon features settees on both sizes and yet more storage and a large bookcase
The navigation station is to stbd from which an offshore watch can be kept (in the warm and dry). Outboard of the navigation station is an berth under the side deck.
A quarter berth is port and aft and would be comfortable in any sea state.

The center companionway is a cupola with an insulated aluminum door.
Raised pilothouse for great visibility, comfort, and ventilation.

Very secure seaworthy galley.
The galley is L shaped with dish lockers below the side deck, a set of 3 drawers, pot storage below the stove and a spice pantry aft of the stove and beside the port quarter berth.

Excellent insulation. Amazing access.
Wet exhaust although the skeg was built with a keel cooler so conversion to keel cooling is possible.
The engine is mounted partially below the cockpit and access is good when the engine box is hinged forward.
