Wikiwiki – “The Fast One”: True to her name, Wikiwiki is indeed fast but she has Outremer’s exquisite balance of performance, comfort and safety. Having already crossed the Atlantic and the Pacific, Wikiwiki is poised to go again with recent updates since her last Pacific crossing.

All Outremer 5X are amazing vessels, and Wikwiki is even more so. Not only is she a V2 version with sporty reverse bows and many performance options such as carbon mast, carbon bimini, carbon reinforced bulkheads, carbon davits, Kevlar rigging, and daggerboards, but she has the full suite of sails, from the Code Zero (new) and Parasailor to the 3Di mainsail and the heavy air self-tacking staysail, for swift passages in almost any conditions.

Even with this focus on performance, Wikiwiki's power is easily managed by a couple from the comfortable and protected helm stations. For the ultimate in on-the-water sensations, the sailing enthusiast can choose to helm from the Formula One style chairs with the upgraded carbon tillers.

Of course, all this speed is no good if the family is not comfortable ! This is an owner’s version with the port hull dedicated to the owners' well-being: large bed aft, desk amidships and the expansive toilet and shower area forward. The starboard side features two cabins with the forward cabin flexible as bunks or a queen configuration and a queen guest cabin aft. The large salon and galley offer great sightlines and plenty of ventilation. Travel to the cockpit is seamless and the cockpit offers a safe and comfortable place to live whether at anchor or underway.

With extraordinarily comfortable accommodations for such a performance vessel, Wikiwiki is fully equipped for off-grid travel with solar, lithium batteries, genset, watermaker, and extensive refrigeration, and when you do eventually return to a dock, Wikiwiki is world-travel ready and can plug into shore power whether 220V or 110V.

INTERIOR

Access to the salon is through the double doors giving a seamless connection to the cockpit. Forward and to port is the large adjustable salon table with seating for eight. To starboard is the comfortable forward facing chart table. An excellent place to stand watch at night with great sightlines, full electronics and autopilot control. Along the full beam of the salon is the expansive and well-equipped galley. The Outremer 5X is equipped with no less than 4 helm stations (two steering wheels, and two tillers) for an exceptional steering feel and increased adaptability.

From a wheel steering, maneuvers within easy reach, or comfortably installed in an ergonomic seat, the carbon tiller as a natural extension of your hand, you will keep control of the boat with a short-handed crew in all circumstances.
